During the day it is very difficult to get online. Hotmail is telling me that this posting to our blog did not go through...so if this is a repeat SORRY :)
We went to Drew's orphanage today. It was very good but also very emotional day. On the way to the orphanage our guide translated the letters from Drew's file for us. It was very emotional time to learn more about his past. We got to meet his nanny (middle picture). You can tell she loved Drew very much. She started to cry several times. Got to take pictures of several of the waiting children....families that we have met from a Xuzhou yahoo group. We saw the two rooms that Drew stayed in. Then we got to give about 50 hats to the children that Plainfield High Schoolers made. They were very excited.
It was about 2 1/2 hour warm train ride. Drew did great. It was a very busy day for him.
The town that the orphanage is in is called Xuzhou. The people there are very nice. Nicest we have met so far. Several ladies came up to us and told us how kind it was for us to have Drew. Then they would put their hands over their heart and then point to us.
While eating breakfast this morning, a Chinese woman started to talk to us. She had some questions about Drew. By the end of the conversation she started to tear up. I looked back at her and she was wiping her eyes. Don't know her story, but something made her rejoice in Drew having a home!!
Off to bed. I'm so tired. hopefully i can sleep some. still waking up around 4:00 AM :(

I know going to the swi was probably really emotional. We didn't go because we were kind of afraid. We wished we had gone because I would have loved to have seen the place where my little guy started his journey.
