yesterday we went to the pearl and jade market! on our walk there, we went through the food market but not like our farm's market. it has dead snakes, beetles, anything and everything. then we walked through the pet market...majority of them were alive :) that was very interesting but also not the best smell :)
 
The pearl and jade market is a mall that has 6 floors. Our guide took us to the shops she says our good :) The "real" jade is very expensive. The pearls were okay. Mark got me a pearl pendant and earrings to match a ring he bought me several years ago.
 
Our guide then took us to a very nice chinese restaurant. the food was very good.
 
it was a great experience. but once again VERY, VERY HOT!!!!!!
 
Last night we went SHOPPING!!!! We got several purses, the girls chinese outfits, squeaky shoes for adie. Mark is getting very good at negotiating with the shop owners. I wanted a Coach purse but they were wanting too much. So Mark had a mission. Finally they got to Mark's price and the lady looked at him with a serious face and said "it is a good day".
 
We got drew's name written on a scroll in chinese with his birth date and province. very excited. We also got some chinese artwork to put in his room but also the house. we have been busy :) Drew has been a trooper. He definitely loves to be on the bed rolling around but for the most part he has been great out shopping.
