Good News and Bad News

Received a message today from Denise, our courier that delivered our dossier to the Chinese Consulate to be authenticated, that she went to pick up our documents this morning. They informed her that they could not do 2 of our documents....of course they were our medicals. She was aware that they were turning 6 months old on the 3rd of November. So she looked them over and pointed out to them that when she dropped them off they were not 6 months old but 5 months (and they still are not 6 months old)! Well it worked!!!! The Good News is that they will go ahead and do the medical documents. The bad news is that she will pick them up on Monday and then send out Monday evening. I was hoping to receive them this weekend BUT at least they are getting done and we don't have to redo any of them!!!

 Message from our courier: "Greetings! Your documents were submitted to the Consulate today. I will write again after I have placed the documents with Express Mail on 10/28. Many Blessings, Denise Hope"

She's Got it

Denise Hope from There's Always Hope got our documents today and will be taking them to the Chinese Consulate on Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pray that they get into the hands of a VERY NICE, LOVING, CARING, & UNDERSTANDING person that will pass all 13 documents!!!

On a different note: if you like books...books about adoption (even ones that might make you scream and cry at the same time) you must read

Like Dandelion Dust by Karen Kingsbury.

I'm reading it now and I'm only 1/2 way through. It is a GOOD book (making me a little mad...only at the government system). READ IT!

IT CAME IT CAME IT CAME

HALLELUJAH!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!

We received our immigrations paper this afternoon at 2:30! Rushed 3 children and myself, minus naps :( , down to the Government Building to get the final documents for the state seal...with NO problems! Jumped back into the car to rush to the Post Office before they closed to mail off ALL 13 ADOPTION DOCUMENTS!! All done by 4:30 with 3 great behaving children!!!! We are paying for a courier There's Always Hope to deliver our documents. I'm hoping that they get delivered by Thursday because our Medical documents are coming up on 6 months of age and the Chinese Consulate does not like that :(   Please pray that they will pass all documents as is and we don't have to re-do any!!!!

Do I really have it that bad?

When you think you have it bad with the disappointments, waiting on people with a very important piece of paper, or waiting on the mail lady....then you get an email from someone also adopting from China and you read all about how almost everything with their documents have gone wrong and still struggling....my difficulties with one document does not seem so bad. I need to be thankful for the things God has provided so far rather focus on what I have not received. TRUST Him that He will provide the last document as He has provided the other 12!!!!!

Still Waiting not so Patiently Though

Have you ever checked the mail only to find out that it is a holiday? I did. On Monday I checked the mail 4 times by the 3rd time I was starting to get "upset" with our mail lady wondering where in the world are you. I checked facebook to see someone talk about Columbus Day. Sorry Mail Lady :( and Sorry Christopher Columbus! My neighbors thought I was crazy. Not only was I checking the mail like a crazy person but I had the trash out too.

I patiently waited each day to only find NO immigrations paper. So I decided to call this afternoon. I actually talked to a very nice government person. I almost asked if I had the right number...just joking (kind-of). She was very helpful this time and did not hang up on me !!!! Which is a huge step in the right direction and she did not transfer me to our officer to where I would only get her voice mail. She said that it may appear that our paperwork was mailed on Tuesday!!!!!! Pray that we will receive it by Monday so we can send these papers to the Consulate as November 3rd is two weeks away. I thought about redoing our medical but I'm going to see if they will take them even though they turn 6 months on 11/3 and pray that they make it through!

Got my Answer This Morning

Sunday night I emailed the immigrations since my phone calls last week were of no success. I received an email from our officer this morning stating that she is pulling our file from the stack on her desk and will work on this week...WHAT...I was hoping to receive our paperwork THIS WEEK!!! It made me want to cry (does not help that I'm sick and very tired) but this was just heartbreaking! So I guess we will be redoing our medical forms too. You know this will all be over and I will not remember all this headache because I will have our precious little guy in our arms but right now...this just STINKS!

Will This Be the WEEK???

Will this be the week we receive our immigrations?????? I got a new marriage license so that we are not rushed to have our documents to the Chinese Consulate before the 22nd of October. Of course, on Friday I tried to call our officer THREE TIMES!!!!! Finally I got someone only to tell me that it is very rare that we have already got our fingerprints done and how busy they are....and then I heard BYE and she hung up!!! It took we a few moments to realize that she was not transferring me but she Hung Up on me to which I never got my question answered. It was an easy question, I just wanted someone to look on their computer screen and tell me where the computer says we are in the process. That was all. But not one person could do that. Did not think it was that difficult but I guess it was.

So I will patiently wait this week and try not to call our officer because calling her only raises my blood pressure :)
