HBC3 is Hess Biological Child #Three and he/she will be here October 8, 2009 !!!!!!

Some might be asking but what about the adoption.

I thought I would do a little Q/A below on our adoption :)

?How will this affect your adoption?

Since Vietnam and United States still have not signed a new agreement, really it does not affect us at all at this time. We would still be "on hold".

?If Vietnam/US sign an agreement soon, what will happen?

At this moment we are #4 on the boy list, if they sign an agreement before October 2009 we would be put "on hold" and those behind us will get the referral until our agency can guarantee that #1 there is 9 months in age difference of this baby and our next child and #2 there will be 6 months between children entering our home. Once those two would be meet then we would be up for an referral. {On March 24-April 2 the US will be hosting a 9-member delegation from Vietnam. With a goal of advancing the relationship and understanding between the peoples and governments of the United States and Vietnam, this visit will include an exchange of information on the Hague Convention and child protections along with discussions on key elements of and opportunities for an interim agreement. If an interim agreement is signed all the above "requirements" for a referral would still have to be in place. Do pray for an interim agreement so that some more children will find their forever families!}

?What about the little boy that you were matched with in July?

Unfortunately we will not be matched with him again. We were coming up on the deadline anyways with his age being over 12 months.

Pray that he will find a forever family!!!!

?Why having another biological child when you really wanted to adopt?

We were never "done" having biological children. "Our plan" (but God had another plan) was to complete this adoption and then have our 3rd and final biological child. But in September when we did not receive our referral and after seeing that the two countries were not moving fast on an agreement we decided to go ahead and try to have our 3rd biological child.

?Just above you said "final" 3rd biological child?

Yes this is our final biological child. Since I have c-sections and we do have a hearts desire for adoption we have decided that this will be the last pregnancy. So all the "holy cow you are huge" comments will be no more about this year :) Not that I really like those comments. It is a fact that I get pretty big, it is very obvious, so please try not to remind me of that FACT :(

Pray for this baby that it will be healthy.

Pray for my health as I have been having some discomfort around my scar area. Pray that everything would be okay. No complications.
