FTIA just "matched" 3 infant boys this past week -- which moves us to #2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still need to verify this with FTIA but I'm so excited.

But with all this excitement Vietnam still needs much prayer!!!!!!!!!!!! Below is part of our weekly update from FTIA regarding the September 1st deadline. This would apply to us only if God does not provides an "official referral" before September 1st. Please Pray as this would not only effect us but many other forever families.

"It is now mid-July, and the only official deadline indicates that families must have official referrals prior to September 1, 2008 in order to continue the adoption process if there is no new Memorandum of Agreement. At the same time, the match to referral process often takes upwards of eight weeks. FTIA is continuing to submit child request letters in order to initiate referrals when we know of children who are ready for international placement, however we wish to advise all families who are matched now until September 1 or until a new MOA is in place that there is a possibility that they will not have an official referral by September 1. Although we are hopeful that a new Agreement between the U.S. and Vietnam can be reached in a timely manner, we want all families to be aware and cognizant of the risk. " by Rachel, FTIA
