September 1st has come and gone with no referral. It is hard to understand why it has happened this way but God knows the final outcome. For reason that we can not see or understand we know that is for the best that we did not receive our referral. We are NOT done with our adoption journey, just a little road construction! :) My heart still goes out to our son and we pray for him daily. At this point we are still "matched" with that little boy. We will continue to be matched with him unless another country gets permission to do adoptions in Bac Lieu. Right now Bac Lieu is not too cooperative toward adoptions. Pray for 20 some families that have referrals from the Bac Lieu orphanage and are having difficult time with the chief of police signing their paperwork.
On a positive note Vietnam is showing great signs of working with the US, which is much encouragement. Our agency is hoping that an agreement will be signed by the end of the year. We will just have to watch and see.
